European Pavilion Expo 2025/Hempstatic

The World Expo inspires individuals to question their assumptions about sustainability, society, and technology. Hempstatic supports Osaka's 3R initiatives, including using recycled, reusable, and recyclable materials. At the World Expo, visitors are put into interactive settings where they design future societies for their lives. At the European Pavilion, saving lives is put at the forefront, which is where the start-up Hempstatic exhibits their installation.

The installation shows the exploration of sustainable living and the possibility of harmonious coexistence with nature. The installation therefore has both a functional purpose of improving the acoustics and an aesthetic purpose of providing a piece of art. Visitors can ponder about what the material is that is being used in the sound absorbers, as it is not self-evident when looking at it. This sparks people's curiosity about the different materials one can use to improve people's livelihoods.
